Turkey Cranberry Sandwich with Garlic Butter Toast
A delicious and hearty sandwich combining tender turkey, zesty cranberry sauce, and creamy brie cheese, all served on garlic butter toasted sourdough bread.
1cupcranberry sauceenhanced with orange zest and cinnamon
4slicesbrie cheese
1cuparugula
4tbspmayonnaise
2tbspDijon mustard
Garlic Butter
4tbspunsalted butter
2clovesgarlicminced
salt and pepperto taste
Instructions
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat and add the minced garlic. Brush the garlic butter onto one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
Spread mayonnaise on the unbuttered side of the bread. On four slices, layer the turkey, cranberry sauce, brie cheese, and arugula. Spread Dijon mustard on the other four slices.
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the assembled sandwiches, buttered side down, in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Slice the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
Notes
For a more pronounced flavor, consider toasting the nuts before adding them to the sandwich. This sandwich can be made ahead and warmed in the oven just before serving.
