Vegan Salted Caramel Bliss Shake

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups salted caramel-flavored dairy-free ice cream
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • vegan caramel sauce (see recipe below)
  • Pinch sea salt

Homemade Vegan Caramel Sauce

  • 1 cup organic brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp vegan butter
  • ½ cup full-fat coconut milk from a can
  • Pinch sea salt

Optional Toppings

  • vegan whipped cream
  • additional caramel sauce
  • chopped vegan chocolate

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the vegan caramel sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, vegan butter, and coconut milk. Stir constantly until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Add a pinch of sea salt and set aside to cool.
  • In a blender, combine the dairy-free ice cream, almond milk, vanilla extract, and 3 tablespoons of the prepared caramel sauce. Blend until smooth.
  • Taste the milkshake and add more caramel sauce or a pinch of sea salt if desired. Blend briefly to incorporate.
  • Pour the milkshake into glasses and top with vegan whipped cream, additional caramel sauce, and chopped vegan chocolate, if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a thicker milkshake, add a frozen banana or a few ice cubes to the blender. Store leftover caramel sauce in the refrigerator for up to one week.
