Prepare the vegan caramel sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, vegan butter, and coconut milk. Stir constantly until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Add a pinch of sea salt and set aside to cool.
In a blender, combine the dairy-free ice cream, almond milk, vanilla extract, and 3 tablespoons of the prepared caramel sauce. Blend until smooth.
Taste the milkshake and add more caramel sauce or a pinch of sea salt if desired. Blend briefly to incorporate.
